And the great month of Ramadan came to us with much opportunity to pray and purify ourselves. Ramadan is called the month of Holly Quran. We should recite from Quran everyday during this month (at least for 5 minutes, if you are busier the busiest).
Though most people consider it nothing but fasting whole the day. This month has much deeper significance than just fasting. It teaches us-
To have control over our instincts
To think about our life and its destiny
To be kind towards poor and feel their pain
To find out the weakness of our character and sort out those
To speak no evil, hear no evil and do no evil.
We should ponder about those points along with praying and fasting regularly. Here is an inspiring Hadith for you-
Abu Huraira related that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. Whoever prays during the nights in Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. And he who passes Lailat al-Qadr in prayer with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven (Bukhari, Muslim). For more click here
